John Naimian, Hayley Tennier and Jordan Tennier were promoted to the rank of Nikyu after a difficult testing. The testing lasted a number of hours and produced both vomit and blood but in the end all proved themselves very worthy to wear their new brown belts.

Mady's Karate School (North) in Cookstown sent their Tournament team to Montreal Quebec this weekend, to compete at the Mas Oyama's Golden Cup Karate Tournament.

The Golden cup Tournament is an annual event that just celebrated its 8th anniversary. The Tournament is a Full Contact Knock Down Tournament. This year there were competitors from 11 different country's from around the world.
