The 3rd Annual MAC open was held in Thunder Bay and Isshinryu karateka performed superbly.

At the first mini-tournament of the year Isshinryu respresented itself very well. Every competitor that entered the tournament placed with 3 different clubs taking part.

Over the weekend of November 11th, 12th and 13th, Thunder Bay played host to a tremendous seminar on traditional Ryukyu Kobudo.

The Seminar was taught by Don Shapland Sensei, one of the first Isshinryu instructors in Canada, who most recently spent 12 years living on Okinawa. Shapland Sensei was kind enough to share not only his knowledge of Ryukyu Kobudo, but also his personal experiences living on Okinawa as they related to the martial arts include proper decorum on Okinawa.
