We would like to give Chris Mollica special recognition, for passing his Yellow belt testing. Chris was born with a disorder called Cerebral Palsy; he can not walk or speak and has only limited control of his hands and head. Chris attends regular high school and is in grade 11, with a high school average of over 80%. He is able to do his school work with the aid of an assistant and an electric wheel chair. His wheel chair can be plugged in to a computer which converts his wheel chair control stick into a computer mouse and he is able click the mouse with a special pad near his head.

Chris has been attending Karate classes diligently with almost a perfect attendance for over 6 month's, to watch his brother Adam train. Unknown to everyone Chris was learning the basics and Japanese terminology while watching the class. When we discovered this, we request special permission of Master Albert Mady, and we enroll Chris into the Dojo. Chris immediately began studying, and has spent month's preparing for his yellow belt testing.

For Chris's yellow belt testing, he was supplied a special 2 hour exam, with multiple choice and yes or no questions. The test included listing all the karate basics, basic kicks and sport kicks, in both English and Japanese, 20 karate terms from English to Japanese and the Creed of Karate.

Chris successfully passed his yellow belt exam!

All of us a Mady's karate in Cookstown would like to congratulate Chris for a job well done. And congratulate all the other students that passed testing in July and October.
