On January 15th, 2015 the Chitora Dojo celebrated it's 20th Anniversary, as part of the festivities, Hanshi Mady visited Thunder Bay to share his knowledge and also to do a grading.
After a very challenging testing, the following promotions were granted.
Keira Purdon - Kokoro Dojo - Ikkyu
Justin Johnson - Chitora Dojo - Nidan and Isshinryu Kobudo Shodan

On September 3rd a new Isshinryu Dojo will be opening in Chilliwack, BC.
Sensei Ryan Bird, a Sandan under Sensei Advincula, is opening a new Dojo. Sensei Bird has been training in Isshinryu since 1986 and is dedicated to improving both his own skills and developing quality Karateka at his Dojo.
Please join me in congratulations of Sensei Ryan Bird opening his new Dojo and wish him and his students great success for the future.

On July 12th, 2014, Six Members of the Chitora Dojo enter the Conquer the Fort Mud Run at Fort William Historical park. It was 7K+ of mud and obstacles. All in all, it was great fun.
To make it more challenging, full gi's were the team attire, complemented by many as the outfit of the day, check out these extreme before and after pics.
